  3. In the blank space, type ‘CompatTellRunner.exe’ and click OK or press Enter

  5. In the Properties box, click on the Security tab and click Advanced settings from the bottom
  6. Find the Owner tab from the top of the new window that appears
  7. Click on Edit
  8. Click on Administrators, click Apply

  10. Close the properties window and click OK
  11. Right-click on Capattelrunner.exe in the System32 folder
  12. Go to its properties and open Advanced tab
  13. Select your Administrator account
  14. Click on Allow next to Full Control
  15. This will grant all your permissions related to the file that will help you delete the file
  16. Go back to System32 folder, delete CompatTelRunner.exe
  17. This process will turn off telemetry
  18. Then Empty the Recycle Bin by right-clicking on the recycle bin icon
